Electronic Gaming Machines
Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) deployed in Singapore must be secure,
reliable and auditable, so as to ensure honest gaming. The Singapore
Technical Standards for EGM describes key technical requirements that
serve to achieve this.
The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore (the “Authority”) has
published a revised version of the Singapore Technical Standards for
EGMs, Version 1.10 on 12 August 2022 (the “Publication Date”).
All industry players must comply with Version 1.10 of the Singapore
Technical Standards for EGMs with effect from 15 August 2022 (the
“Effective Date”).
The Singapore Technical Standards for EGMs is a culmination of extensive
research by GRA, with contributions and feedback from our various
overseas counterparts and industry stakeholders that we have engaged in
our consultation process. We thank
our counterpart regulators and industry stakeholders for their valuable
contributions and feedback.

Electronic Table Games
A network of servers, devices and multiple Player Terminals that are
used to conduct gaming, either as a fully-automated version or as a
semi-automated version (where the collection of bets and payout of
winnings are automated) of an existing live table
game, is classified as an Electronic Table Game (ETG). As the Player
Terminals of an ETG is also a gaming machine, every Player Terminal must
also comply with the Technical Standards For Electronic Gaming
Machines.
The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore (the “Authority”) has published a revised version of the Singapore Technical Standards for Electronic Table Games, Version 1.4 on 4 June 2024 (the “Publication Date”).
